Welcome to

The Berchuck Lab

Advancing precision oncology through innovative translational cancer research

Our Mission

Welcome to the Berchuck Lab, where our mission is to pioneer advances that transform how we manage and treat individuals living with cancer, leveraging personalized treatment strategies to drive meaningful improvements.

Our core objectives include developing biomarkers to guide treatment decisions, deciphering mechanisms of treatment resistance, and discovering novel therapeutic strategies. Bridging the realms of clinical oncology and laboratory science, we embrace a “bedside-to-bench-to-bedside” research model, collecting tissue and blood samples from patients, applying cutting-edge research tools to characterize tumor molecular profiles, and translating our discoveries into clinical practice.

Join us in our commitment to driving impactful changes in cancer care, one breakthrough at a time.

Our Space

The Berchuck Lab is part of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Emory University School of Medicine and the Winship Cancer Institute, housed in the Health Science Research Building (HSRB) in the heart of the Emory campus. Boasting more than 200,000-square-feet of state-of-the-art research space, HSRB is home to laboratories conducting wet and dry lab research focused on improving health outcomes.
